Surge Impact Family

Introduction

Acknowledged as the pioneers of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the young state of Telangana, Surge Impact Foundation (SIF) is also the undisputed leader of social impact advocacy.  Our domain expertise extends to providing advisory services for non-profits and corporates, as also incubating social entrepreneurship projects. SIF also thrives on capacity-building for the development sector. Set up in 2017, SIF quickly went on to establish the largest network of impact ecosystems, with operations in every nook and corner of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

During the nationwide lockdown from March 2020 onwards, SIF led from the front in reaching humanitarian aid to the needy and helpless. As the nodal agency for Telangana’s Department of IT & Industries, SIF played a stellar role in seamlessly executing the state’s humungous relief exercise.

A Section 8 Company based out of Hyderabad, Telangana, SIF has worked extensively in the south Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

We have successfully launched a host of innovative and on-demand initiatives across sectors ranging from education, entrepreneurship, skilling, to disaster management, climate change, and child rights. SIF’s flagship initiatives in the areas of CSR Advocacy, SDG promotion, and employability enhancement, have ushered in a sea-change in the development landscape of the region.

Our track record includes several incubation and acceleration programs for social entrepreneurs and nonprofit organisations. Surge Impact played a key role in establishment of the Atal Incubation Centre at IIIT Hyderabad.

SIF actively partners the Government of Telangana in the field of CSR advocacy and management. As the authorised project management unit for the Department of Industries’ T-Social Impact Group, SIF functions as a single window system for disbursing CSR investments in the state. Working with leading corporates like HSBC, Ascendas, Novartis, IBM, Huawei, Novartis, and Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives among others, T-SIG had facilitated CSR projects worth ₹ 24.19 Crores at last count.

Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic struck, SIF has been focusing on the employability enhancement capabilities of youth belonging to economically weaker sections of society.  Surge Impact has joined hands with The Devarakonda Foundation (TDF) in 2019, to set up The First Job Fellowship.  The fellowship has successfully completed its pilot phase.

The Surge Impact Foundation is manned by a dedicated team of social development professionals and people passionate about ushering in positive change. Supported by more than 200 volunteers across Telangana, SIF programs have received positive responses and also achieved tangible results.

Barely four years into its journey of fostering development, Surge Impact Foundation, leads as a role model for harbingers of change in the region.
